I have been a massive fan of Shamrock Minifigures as soon as I discovered the parts and accessories. Clone and Storm Trooper armour just doesn't make sense any other way, not to mention how great they look when creating works...

What's Out There...
There are options out there for specialised armour, cloth and printed are common. Cloth just doesn't work for me personally, for one thing, it is trying to represent something solid and it's not. Secondly it often does not hold it's shape and position. I am referring to some Arc Trooper cloths, such as Lego's 25th anniversary Fives figure. Lastly it doesn't photograph all that well, the detail isn't there and cloth can often fray. This leaves us with prints. While prints exist on Lego minifigures and they can be of good quality, yet they lack that 3D factor. A figure like Wrecker from the Bad Batch should have a larger appearance, setting him apart from other figures, this is something that simply can't be achieved via prints. So all that's left is custom printed armour...

Shamrock Parts
This brings us to the 3D Printed and hand painted parts from Shamrock Minifigures. I stared at this section for sometime, unable to come up with something to write. I don't think there is anything on the market quite at this standard. It hits all the marks, the design of the parts is truly excellent, all the details are there. It must be such a challenge to create parts with such precise dimensions and tolerances, it is easy to get things wrong. However never a complaint when ordering from Shamrock...
Then we have the actual quality, the part is always of the highest standard, as is the paint job. Something that is a real talent, I imagine acquired with hours and hours of practice, and if it's like anything I do, much trail and error.
But the works speak for themselves...

Just one more, Alpha-17...
