I have been fortunate enough to have picked up a few deals lately, haven't got a lot else to talk about so I thought I would share them here. I also thought it would make a nice change from constant Smart Play crying and lack of Play Set moaning coming from other creators...

Bail Organa Minifigure...
The first 'deal' I came across, I say deal, I should say absolute bargain, I found my Bail Organa minifigure. Now I did unfortunately find this one on Brick Link, so it's not one that everyone can jump on. However there is a good lesson to be learned here, and that is certainly, get Brick Link figured out. If you figure out how to use Brick Link you can come across some great deals. It's important to know that not everyone is a Star Wars fan and not everyone knows what they have.
Now of course in this work above I have customised the minifigure quite heavily, but I managed to pick up the official Organa Lego figure for £43.00 and it was in mint condition. The going rate in the UK is around £65, so this was a considerable saving, it can be considered a risk but you're pretty well protected purchasing with Brick Link.

The Imperial Dignitary...
The moment the UCS Death Star released last year I was on the search for this minifigure, it is tactic I often use, and is worth remembering. When a set first releases there are undoubtedly going to be resellers, now the first people on the scene set the pricing (talking specifically Bricklink here). This can be very useful for the eager eyed buyer that wants something specific, the market price hasn't settled yet, and if the seller doesn't see high value in a minifigure the buyer gains an advantage. So as a result I picked up the Dignitary for £40, the base market price is £68 on Bricklink. Bit of a saving there...

Casio Tagge and Conan Antonio Motti...
Sticking with the UCS Death Star, as many of my followers know I am all in on the original Trilogy. As an old person, it's what I grew up with and what I consider Star Wars. So I was really pleased with some of the Death Star figure choices, the execution, less so. However they mostly involved easy fixes. I managed to pick up Tagge and Motti on Bricklink, the price was reasonable. However I recommend trying to pick up figures in the same store. You save on postage at least, and with figures from the same set, it's a no brainer. If a seller has one, they'll likely have more in terms of what you're looking for. It's always useful to know when you have a shopping list...
