It has always been a dream of mine to create a huge scene with lots of detail. There are a few contenders for the scene, Hoth, Endor and Tatooine. However the scene that I will have everything together for first is going to be Geonosis...

What We Need...
There are a few things I need to get together before I go ahead with this. Worth saying I have never attempted works at this scale before. It may take me several attempts...
The backdrop. Anyone that's familiar with my works will know I use digital backgrounds. I like this method a lot, I can scale things correctly and it helps with exposure due to it providing its own light. Using a suitable F stop and positioning the figures correctly allows me to soften that backdrop and provides depth.
Now this approach is not going to work for the scene I have in mind, this is due to me not having a big enough screen to accommodate the scene. I have just received delivery of 3 huge backdrops, these are print outs. So we are now good to go in that sense.
The figures and builds. I don't like to rush my collecting. I tend to build slowly over time, and choosing what I have a desire to photograph. However, I think I have a large enough Phase One Army to carry out this ambitions project. Along with the figures I would like to attempt to introduce builds/vehicles, I really don't do this often. So after completing my AT-TE modifications (Written about in a previous post) I feel ready.
Terrain. This is my final hurdle, I have not yet solved this. For some reason I am not really into building terrain out of Lego (it kind of just becomes a MOC then), I like the more miniature model feel. I plan to do some research and create some reusable sections of terrain, I think model train style set ups are the way to go. Not to mention the countless toy photographers on Instagram outside of Lego of course. The bellow image of Bastila Shan is my preferred look/feel for this proposed image.

I am very much looking forward to this upcoming project, if it goes well it is definitely something I would like to pursue going forward. I like my tight, busy and detailed works but I would love to go wider and still retain this detail. Hoth has been a major dream of mine, however still not having my own space to work in so to speak is a major limitation. In time I hope to purchase my own house with a dedicated studio, then I will be truly free to venture into all my planned projects...
