Being a big fan of Clone Army Customs and what they do, I felt like writing a short post about an exciting package I just received. Being from Cornwall in the United Kingdom I have always found their products hard to come by. Being in high demand they are often out of stock with all UK resellers. Last year I reached out to Clone Army Customs, and asked about UK shipping. For years and years I just assumed this kind of thing would be very expensive and that it was better to be patient, and wait for a big restock.
Much to my surprise, they told me it was no problem and it was something that they did regularly. This response was both exciting and frightening, knowing that my wish list had swelled and my years of being patient wouldn't last much longer.

Why Clone Army Customs (CAC)?
Shortly after receiving this exciting information, and without it being on my radar, Black Friday came around. I couldn't have predicted how awesome that day was going to be, not only the sale but the re-stock on pretty much everything on my hit list. This was it, now was the time. I filled a basket with everything I needed to complete my Clone Squads, with no regards to the tallying cost. A very obscure quote from an old episode of The Simpsons was in my head at the time. Said by Mr Burns to Smithers "Don't you dare sully this moment with your price-taggery!"
The reason I like what CAC do is due to the accuracy and the realistic style of their Clone Troopers. While retaining the Lego look, not too/overly detailed. The prints and parts are also of a great quality and don't require a lot of work in photoshop. There is nowhere to hide from my Sony 90mm Macro lens when shooting 1:1. so if the prints require minimum attention that is definitely an accomplishment.

Planned Photographs
After completing my Clone Squads and taking care of the long overdue 327th Star Corps works. I placed a second order and wanted to focus on some characters I'm yet to own and photograph. So I am working towards some Old Republic works, an era of Star Wars I very much enjoy. I am surprised Lego even ventured into this area as much as they did, I have gathered many of the major characters from Bricklink. However some of the troopers that Lego came up with were a far cry from the source material, obviously CAC stepped in to fix this.
Along with this I went with a Jango Fett, a major character that I haven't picked up yet. Very excited about the potential there, in addition to Jango I picked up two 91st Reconnaissance Troopers. A Clone Legion I have never owned or photographed. A couple of the amazing Battle Droids and finally, various helmets. Phase 1 Troopers, Phase 1 Pilots, Clone Gunners and 501st ARF's. There is a lot to get into here and I look forward to sharing the results with you, may the force be with you all.
